Daniel Anker created films that told stories without sensationalism. His historical documentaries covered topics ranging from the 1925 Serum Run of Diptheria medicine to Nome, Alaska to the trial of the Scottsboro Boys in 1931. Danny wanted a website that that let the films speak for themselves, that removed the pomp normally associated with film sites.
The homepage was a simple collections of poster based images for each of the completed and in progress films. The content evolved as new projects were begun and then completed.
Each film had its own independent page with a trailer and information about the film. Awards and funders for each film are also included. Again the films themselves are the visual center of the design. All of the color and excitement on the page comes directly from the film playing – front and center.
